Yeti 1400/1500x Battery Question
On the product pages for the 1400 Lithium (which I own) and the 1500x, it states:
" Lifecycles: 500 Cycles to 80% capacity (Discharge rate: 1C, Full charge/discharge, Temp: 25C)"
Does that mean if you charge it at 50% instead of a full charge/discharge, the 500 cycles is effectively doubled?

Hello @pheenix99 ,
That is not quite correct.
While a full battery life cycle is normally thought of as going from 100% charge to 0%, there are several other factors that can change the actual life cycle of a battery. That includes environmental conditions such as temperature it is used and stored at, if you store it charged or not, and also the charge rate.
This is why the temperature at which the full discharge/recharge is stated at 25C. A partial discharge of 50% will not double the cycles. It will only use part of a cycle, this is true. But if you are only using a third or two thirds of a cycle with a partial discharge, you are also only getting a portion of the power you could get. It

Thanks. Just trying to ensure my Yeti 1400 will get me through at least a few more hurricane seasons before repair/replacement.

Think I've got the equivalent of just under 3 complete cycles out of my 1400 over the past 3 years or so. Only really have it for hurricanes.
