What adaptor is needed to connect 500X to Renogy solar?
I have just received a Yeti 500x Portable power station. I also have a Renogy 100W 12V foldable solar panel suitcase, with built in 20A charge controller. We use this for our RV Trailer with an adaptor to fit the standard plugin, but I see the 500x has a barrel type plugin. Can anyone tell me what connector adaptor I need to fit the solar panel to the 500X? Thanks

The Yeti 500X uses an 8mm port. Do you know what type of connection the Renogy solar panel uses?
You also mentioned a charge controller that is built in. This will cause a problem as the Yeti already comes with a charge controller. You will need to get around the charge controller or disconnect it completely. If you are not able to do that, the panels will not be usable with the Yeti 500X.

Hi..thanks for the reply. The Renogy panel has the standard IP67 connectors. I think I would need the following adaptor, and by pass the charge controller on the panel:

If the 8mm connector on that cable fits the Yeti 500X, we don't see a problem using this. Alternatively, you can use the cables linked below, which will definitely work with the Yeti 500X.
