Will be taking delivery of a new Yeti 700 in a couple days. Since it has the new LiFePo4 batteries, is there a specific way to maintain these batteries? Can I leave the 700 permanently plugged in or should I charge to 100% then discharge to a specific percentage?

    Hi @PPD417,

Since the 6G batteries can be completely shut off, we suggest turning it off when not in use. We suggest cycling the batteries at least once every 6 months. The shelf life of the batteries with the on/off button set to off is 12-18 months, but cycling it every 6 months will ensure that the internal battery remains healthy.

One of your techs told me to leave the unit plugged in. It also appears I can’t turn it off if it’s plugged in unless I’m missing how to do it.

    Hi @PPD417,

You don't have to leave it plugged in as long as it is off all the way. You can if you want to but like you said, it won't turn off all the way.
