Yeti Link Car Mode not working, again.
Anyone have any troubleshooting tips to figure out why my Link stopped charging the 1500x via the alternator?
There was a firmware update at the end of last year that was supposed to resolve this, and it did seem to charge a few times. Now I'm back to a dead GZ. Tried a factory reset, and reinstalled the Link. No luck.
Super disappointed because I went through the trouble of asking tech support prior to purchasing if this worked with smart alternators. Was assured it did, but it's only worked a handful of times since I got it. So much wasted time! I could be camping instead I'm in the driveway faffing about with this thing, again.
Also, since the energy history feature doesn't work I can't even see when the issue (re)started.
I might just go back to my previous battleborn and victron setup. That always just worked, never had to think about it.
Thanks.

What firmware version is the link currently at? We did roll back the firmware on the link for several months as there were a couple of issues with the original firmware that was supposed to fix this problem. We have since re-released it and the Yeti link should work with most smart alternators.

Thanks for the reply, I did just get a response via email and got an RMA number. The Link FW is up to date at 1.8.6, and I believe that's the one that should have fixed the smart alternator issue according to the release notes.
