At firmware 1.0.5, refuses to upgrade to 1.5.8

I've tried all the instructions for updating the firmware to 1.5.8, both CLOUD and DIRECT, but when I go into Device settings → Firmware Version 1.0.5 I get:

{Greyed out downarrow} Firmware up to date
Current version 1.0.5

If I click on "FIRMWARE RELEASE NOTES" I get release notes for 1.5.8

Now what?
