Yeti1500 not connecting to cloud

looks like I lost connection between Yeti1500 and cloud. My app won’t connect to the Yeti.

It was working 2 days ago 🙄.

I thought the issue was local and tried reconnecting my device to WiFi ! That didn’t work. Yeti WiFi password was failing

finally reset the yeti with the AC and info buttons and tried a new pairing .

The app sees the yeti locally on BT and WiFi but when trying to cloud connect … the progress bar takes forever and times out .

Any suggestions ?

I am guessing that the yeti cloud server or service is down . Now that I reset my device I can’t seem to reconnect .

Thank you for your help

if you keep getting the same connection timed out please try again error while trying to connect to the cloud ☁️ to do the update do not worry I’m here to save you a migraine.
what you want to do if your WiFi set up has those WiFi extender boxes for example I have an ORBI system connected to my WiFi, normally these set ups have 1 access point or at least mine did a while ago with was a 5ghz connection which the yeti 300 doesn’t seem to be compatible with so I made a 2.4ghz access point and make sure to rename it something like for my case I did “ORBI_Network_Guest’’

While on the app in order to update the firmware you have to be connected to the cloud ☁️ network you can’t update it while on the direct connection so click connect to cloud, make sure to click and hold pair button to reset the WiFi on your power station you should see the WiFi logo blinking. Make sure your phone is super close to your power station it should first while you scan for the device your yeti should appear then click continue button next is the part that gets everyone the scan for networks DO NOT CLICK ON THE NETWORK YOU HAD IT ON❌❌❌ .

Click on input network manually ✅ for name make sure you type it in exactly on how it appears on your WiFi networks on your phone so for mine I had to type ORBI_Network_Guest and the password I made for it, then click save or done ✅ the first try it won’t connect you will get the same error but this time click Try Again Button when you get to the same section click scan for network and you should see all your WiFi networks appear make sure to choose the new 2.4Ghz network then click continue button after this it will finally connect to the cloud and you can finally update your yeti 🥲 my roomba vacuum had the same problem and same fix lol.

✅OH AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO MAKE SURE YOUR YETI POWER STATION IS BASICALLY NEXT TO YOUR MAIN WIFI ROUTER AND THE MAIN WIFI EXTENDER, AT LEAST THE MAX 6 INCHES AWAY FROM IT, FROM MY EXTREME KNOWLEDGE IN POWER STATIONS FROM THE LOOKS OF THE BUILD MATERIAL OF THE CASE IS ALUMINUM OR SOME TYPE OF ALLOY THAT BLOCKS THE WIFI SINGLE A FAIR AMOUNT SO MAKE SURE YOU ARE CLOSE 🛜

✅ALSO MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS CONNECTED TO THE SAME 2.4Ghz NETWORK 🛜
