Can my Lighthouse 250 be repaired?

Yesterday morning when I came into the kitchen I saw a glow from the top shelf where we store emergency lighting. The Lighthouse 250 was glowing. It hadn't been touched in months. I checked the switch. It was in the off position. Rotating the switch caused the lamp to increase or decrease in intensity. No position, including the one that clicks to off, caused the lamp to turn off. Any ideas for what I can do to fix it? Obviously the battery eventually ran down and the lamp is off now.
