Yeti Expansion Link - Blue & Green Lights Flash Simultaneously
I recently received a new Yeti Expansion Link and installed it into my Yeti 3000x. During normal operation the blue light will flash indicating it's charging and will have one green light on solid indicating 25% charge on expansion tank. Additionally, the Yeti will show that it has an input of various watts. However, I noticed that at some times the Link will stop charging and the blue and green light will flash simultaneously. Then after a period of time, it will resume normal operation. I reset the Link by holding the reset button, uninstalling and then reinstalling. Afterward, I noticed the same lights (blue and bottom green) flashed simultaneously for 10 minutes. Then it began charging as normal. Does anyone know why this happens? I assume that during this period maybe the unit is resetting or evaluating the tank. Either way, that's just a guess. If anyone knows for sure I would appreciate it.

Hello @MarkTheMoneyMan ,
That is not a flashing we have seen before. Normally the blue light will flash and whichever percentage range the battery is in will flash green for charging. having it be solid then flash simultaneously for a few minutes is new. Could you upload a video or make a youtube link for the behavior next time you see it? a 20-30 second clip would be all we need showing the actual behavior as well as a short clip of your normal charging state to compare the two.

The last time I plugged in the Link, after about 10 minutes, the lights went back to normal and the unit started charging. This time, after 15 minutes or so, it never started charging.

Thank you for sending that. We will forward that on to our engineers to see what we can find out more about it. In the meantime, if you are able to use the app to swap it between car mode and tank mode a couple times and see if that does anythgin to help reset it, please do. If you could also email in to our customer service department Support@goalzero.com and we can have our agents continue troubleshooting with you through there.
