Customer support told me today that they canceled their 240v project.

Thanks for the info. That is really unfortunate. I have a lot of GZ products, but I guess I will have to switch to another brand going forward. Can't wait any longer for GZ to figure out 240v.

Wait, really?? Ugh….Alright, time to start moving over to Ecoflow I guess. GZ is too far behind, even with their newest products. Wish I hadn't invested in the Pro 4000 as much as I have.

I was also looking for an alternative to power our 240v well pump. Do you all know if another system (eg, EcoFlow) will replace the 4000Pro and connect to the Haven10 transfer switch?

could you just buy a 110v/220v step up/down converter (you can pick up a 1000w one off amazon for as cheap as $60) and use that for your application?

@KyleW I'm in the exact same situation. I was waiting for the mythical "Power+ Series Combiner" that was reportedly under development for my water pump as well. Sadly it appears that they decided not to release that product. Not sure why. 240v is a huge gap for GZ. If they can't or won't figure that out, they are going to lose a lot of loyal customers. I have multiple GZ products spanning several years. Gonna have to explore alternatives now.

BTW, I did a quick Google search and it looks like there are numerous options for 240v from Jackery, Ecoflow, etc. I have been a loyal GZ customer for years though and have A LOT invested in GZ products already. I was hoping to stick with them, but I guess it's time to move on. 😥

@Jay_Water_for_Good Not sure about that. If it were really that easy, it seems that GZ would just instruct customers to do this? I have been asking them about it for months/years though. First they just said "no 240v". Then they said they were working on the Power+ Series Combiner product to specifically enable that. Now they have abandoned that product and gone back to "no 240v" apparently. Seems like they would just suggest a step up converter if it would work with the GZ power stations? My concern would be somehow damaging the GZ units if they are somehow not compatible with that option.

Well pump startup is greater than 1000w.

Does goal zero have a European (like UK) model that outputs 240v that would work for a smaller/intermediate well pump?

    • ½ HP: Starting wattage is 2,000–3,500 watts
    • ¾ HP: Starting wattage is 3,000–5,000 watts
    • 1 HP: Starting wattage is 4,000–7,000 watts

you can buy larger ones. This is designed to take your 110v and convert it to 220v. It’s a large box, so not a very elegant solution, but would work just fine, as long as you can find one that meets your watt needs.

Thanks, @Jay_Water_for_Good . I will check it out. More likely I will just go with one of the other competitor options though. I emailed GZ support today as a last effort, and they confirmed that GZ has no plans to support 240v.

If you haven’t already purchased Goal Zero unit, then for sure seems like there’s a better option for your scenario.

Have you looked at the Anker units?

I ordered a Pro 4000 earlier this week. At the time that I ordered, I thought the 240V option was still under development. From the above, I now see that it has been cancelled….My hoped for use for the 4000 is to put it in my travel trailer, and integrate it using the Escape Towable Kit. In case that scenario did not work as well as hoped, I could always use the 4000 for home power backup, and that was where the 240 volt option could have been useful (for a well pump)….There are other brands of power stations that do support 240V, but I find nothing in a similiar cost point and ease of integration for my travel trailer. I'm really trying to keep my options open, and retain the ability to not have a large sunk cost in my travel trailer, so that is why I have leaned into a power station based approach (so I can remove the power station down the road if I so desire).…So I'm learning toward keeping the 4000 (when it arrives, it is still in transit at the moment.), since it matches my hoped for primary scenario
