AC trickle charge for Yeti 4000
is it possible to trickle charge the 4000 with the 120 watt Yeti X AC power supply? My 4000’s voltage and state of charge % seem out of sync. When I trickle charge off my vehicle alternator at 120 watts, the voltage seems to be closer to the state of charge. However, when I use the 4000’s AC input port or my 400 watt solar panel with the hpp+ port, the state of charge goes up to 100% relatively quickly, but the battery voltage indicates only about 70% charge.

Hello @Gray ,
Yes, you can trickle charge the unit using the X line of power supplies. One suggestion we have to you is once you get it charged up, to cycle the unit 2-3 times from 100% to 0% and back to ensure that the screen is calculating properly the information. Part of this is due toth e units being required to ship at a partial voltage from the factories then sitting on the shelf for months on end until being bought. While we do charge the units before they leave, we are not able to cycle them as described above to prevent the issues currently experienced with the desync you are seeing n the battery voltage and the screen.
