Part time use of a Tank Pro 4000?

Is it easy to use the Yeti Pro 4000 sometimes with an attached Tank Pro 4000 and sometimes without?

I am interested in getting a Tank Pro 4000 to use with my Yeti Pro when I am home, but I would want to detach it, and bring only the Yeti when I am away from home.

Is it as simple and plugging/unplugging the Tank, or is there a pairing/unpairing process. If there is a process, it is quick and easy? Will it confuse the battery management system if I go back and forth between having an attached Tank, and not having it?

I can't say for sure - but my knowledge from reading forums is that once you bring the main unit back to the tank you may face unequal discharge and charging usually solved by complete discharge and recharge cycles to restore the balance
