20kwh

So I just bought the 20kwh home backup and it works great. I have a smart plug hooked up to charge/passthrough during off peak hrs and have my house run on it during peak hours.

That being said I want to add Solar panels now to minimize my reliance in PG&E. While I love the GZ panels this is home back up and the panels will be up all year long, so nomad, and rangers are not going to work and I read that the Boulders can only be chained up to 6. Meaning it would take 33hrs under perfect conditions to charge they system. I'd like to see how I can maximize the 3000w HPP+ charging. Is anyone doing this? What's your set up like? What are my options if I can't do GZ panels?

A friend and I were talking and he was telling me he can get some Freedom 400 panels for cheap but they won't work with the Yetis because they are 50v panels and the yetis can only handle 12 to 24v. Well I pointed out the HPP+ port is listed as 145v. He still seems to think that the Freedom 400s will be too high of voltage. Am I missing something? Does he have a point?

Thank you.
