Length of charge cable NOMAD 10

I have a NOMAD 10 solar panel which I intend to use in a long term project. (DSLR 1 year timelapse)

I'm now considering what length&cable type to use.

Will a shorter cable provide greater efficiency or will a 1meter cable perform the same as a 30cm one?

A 1 meter cable will perform the same as a shorter cable. If you go over 3 meters the efficiency will start to degrade. Going with the 1 meter cable will be totally fine.
