DC output on Yeti 1400

Options

Hi folks!

I got my Yeti 1400 and Boulder 200 W Solar panel to supply power for me at Burning Man in 2019.

It worked great and has been sitting on the charging bench since then except on an extended blackout in my neighborhood where it worked great.

Going back to Burning Man this year and bought a new Newair 12 V Dual zone fridge. Works great with AC but when I go on DC, it's trying to pull 13 volts, even on ECO mode. I get a low power warning.

I'm going to play with it more today but I wonder if there is a way to. put out that extra volt?

Anybody know?

Thank you!

I solved my own problem. I put little battery powered fans in to the freezer and the circulating air seems to be keeping the temp even and down and the draw on the Yeti has been a consistent 11V.

I imagine the effect is the same as having a freezer full of frozen food.

So if you're having the same problem, try filling up the compartment or spend 20 bucks on little refrigerator fans.
