Why is the Yeti Home Integration Kit transfer switch not feasible for an external breaker box? It seems to me that the transfer switch could be on the inside wall opposite of the external breaker box and the wires could go through the wall.

    Hi @Zaphod

    It is possible to install the HIK if the breaker box is on the outside of the house. It really all depends on what is on the other side of the wall. If the breaker box is on the outside of the house and the garage is on the other side of the wall, the electrician you hire should be able to wire the HIK in the garage. The key is to not have the HIK exposed to the outdoors.
