My Yeti 1000 is not charging anymore
My Yeti 1000 has been reliably charging and working since 2018, but as of last night, it is no longer charging despite being plugged into an outlet. The blue light on the input is not on. I’ve reconnected every connector, and reset the unit (pressing unit & info at same time). Last night it started charging, but checking on it today, it has stopped at 30%. Would a new charge controller help? Before this, it would charge up to 94%.

Hi @Otina
Does the power supply you are using get warm? Do you have any solar panels you could try on the Yeti? With the age of the Yeti, it is very possible that the issue is the power supply and not the Yeti itself. Especially if it suddenly stopped taking a charge.

Colorado has been very very hot this summer, and I can’t always park it out of the sun. I put up shades in windows and I have usb fans I point at the Yeti (not in photo). I just got home, plugged it in, and it seems to be charging again. How do I go about replacing the power supply when this happens again? I had to use my Dometic fridge as a cooler this trip, not ideal. I do have solar panels that I can test if this doesn’t work.

I just recieved a used yeti1000. it was doing intermitting charging. I found out the charger was at fault. I replaced it with a sherpe 50 power supply charges at 38watts. I tried pluging diferant chargers in but no additional watts.
is that the way its supose to work.

I have an older 1000 that stopped charging. It’s plugged into the wall but there is no blue light or blinking status bar. I also tried resetting it but it didn’t make any difference..How can I determine what the problem is, do you have any suggestions.
Thanks,
Steve Flores
