I am new to the lithium world. My 1st purchase was the yeti 1000x. I am very happy with it.
Now I've gotten some off brand(Dokio 160w) solar panels.
My question is, will an external mppt charge controller improve the charging time or does the integrated mppt controller all I need?
I have managed 75 to 80 watts with the dokio 160w panel plugged directly into the 8mm port. I'd like to add another one of these panels with the supplied cables of the dokio.

Hi @Jdub,
The internal MPPT will suffice in this case. The external one we sell is not as efficient as the one that is in the unit already.
If you want to use more than one panel, you will need the 8mm combiner cable below.
