Plugged in my laptop and ZAP

Earlier today, I plugged my one week old laptop into my Yeti 1000x using USB-C, and the moment the cable was plugged in, there was a POP noise from the laptop. Kinda like a electrical arc zap, if you're familiar with that noise. At the same moment, the laptop turned off. The laptop is now dead and won't turn on at all.

Later, I realized the Yeti was still on. The screen staying on bugs me, so I hit the info button to turn it off. None of the buttons do anything. I found the reset instructions in another post and tried holding down the two buttons for 3 seconds, 8 seconds, 15 seconds, 30 seconds. Nothing works. It's not outputting power on any ports, but it's stuck on and frozen. Plugging in the power supply also does nothing and it doesn't draw power to charge either.

So, did the Yeti fry my laptop or vice versa? I cannot honestly see how the laptop could cause this, but how could the Yeti output enough power over USB-C to fry a laptop? Is there any way to get the Yeti working again?

This whole situation really really sucks.
