What size panel do I need?

I have a 13 ft. teardrop-type camper that uses a 12 volt deep cycle battery to power lights, sink water pump and reversible ceiling fan. When camping for several days in hot weather, we sometimes run the fan all night. After several days, this drains the battery. What size GoalZero solar panel do I need to keep the battery charged?

    How large is the capacity of your Deep Cycle Batteries?

    Once you know that, I would recommend you get a panel(s) that could deliver that much power in 6 hours at nearly optimum conditions. In this way, even though you don't have optimum conditions all day, you should have enough good hours to charge your batteries once each day.

    Once consideration though is what happens on a cloudy day? How many days will your battery last when you're camping without charging? Do you need a small petrol generator as a backup plan?
