Hello everyone, I have a Yeti 1500 with the briefcase 200 solar panels. How can I charge 18 volt lithium batteries for my power tools with any of these parts without wasting power by plugging in the charger into the AC output from the yeti 1500.

Thank you in advance for any replies.

    Good question!

I want to solve similar problems by avoiding using the AC outlets on my 1500X when I can.

I did a quick search and found that Milwaukee sells a battery charger that plugs into a cigarette lighter, just like the 12V output on your 1500X. This sounds like the kind of thing you need. So you should instead turn to the power tool company to find out how you can get a 12VDV auto outlet charger.

I just checked my manual and the 12VDC port on the 1500X is rated at 160W, so that should be enough for you. I don't know how long it will take, but if you do close the loop on this, let us know how long it takes to charge a typical power tool battery.

    Good luck.
