Home Backup automatic failover?

Maybe I'm not searching the right thing but I can't seem to find out whether a backup battery like the Yeti can be set up to take over automatically when grid power fails. Looks like the HIK that comes with the Home Backup kits is a manual. Does anyone have experience with this or know a reason it may be not feasible?

No, there is no automatic transfer if the power goes out. It is all done manually with the HIK or through the app. The app will not notify you properly if grid power gets interrupted.
