Wifi off after outage I'm traveling
I'm currently in Thailand and we had a 15+ hour power outage at home in California. Power is back on but I cannot access my yetti 3000x as the software turned off the wifi (to save power). I had the Yeti in hot stand by running the frig, freezer and 2 lighting circuits. Now there is no way for me to know the status of the Yeti! Did it come back on line. Is it still running the frig/freezer? Please fix your operating system so that I can access remotely after an extended outage. Either leave the wifi on or cycle it once an hour to check for wifi or turn wifi back on when the mains are back. I won't be home for another month!

@David34850, There is a 30 hour timeout on the Yeti's Wifi. If it can't reconnect in that timeframe it stops trying to conserve power. Are you able to see any other smart/IoT appliances on that home network in California to verify your home has Internet access now?

Hi, yes all my cameras, and the rest of the smart home came back on line, routines, lights and plugs worked fine when the power was restored. When I returned home last week I had to go over to the 3000x and manually turn the wifi back on. I estimate the power outage was 15-20 hours from discussions with neighbors.

I have a similar problem. I think many people with a Yeti and solar power have it in a remote location. Mine powers my remote observatory in Hawaii. Occasionally the Internet provider in Hawaii has an outage. Usually it is short. My Yeti700 goes offline and asks me to reconnect by using Bluetooth and being next to it with my phone. That’s tough when I’m 5000 km away. (I don’t live in Hawaii.) The internet SSID and password never change. It would be SO VALUABLE for it to try to reconnect like most other Internet connected things do. I would pay for that feature!

Adding to my comment. When I’m not using my observatory for several days, I remotely turn off the AC and 12V outlets. Does that affect the Yeti700 not reconnecting to the Internet if the Internet briefly goes off, then comes back on? Is there some reason to leave it on? It draws 6 watts when on and connected to my security camera. It charges every day with the solar panel.

Hello @DKD ,
If a 3/5/700 Yeti is without input or output for 5 minutes, it will turn off. Any internet source it is connected to will take a bit to reconnect, especially if the internet is powered by the Yeti as you'll have a few more minutes of boot up on that end as well.
