I have a small Yeti 500X that I keep charged year round in my barn work shop. I live in New Hampshire so it gets cold in the winter. The battery is probably four years old and no longer holds a charge. Is this because of temperature changes, or do they only last this long ? I rarely actually use it. Thanks.

The 500X was released in 2020 so it is not 4 years old. Are you sure it is the 500X? I would try bringing it out of the cold and getting it charged up. Can you give us more details on "it will no longer hold a charge". Does it charge up to 100% and then when you unplug it the unit drops to 0%?!

Thanks for your reply. I’ve had it inside for about a month. It charges to 100%. If I unplug it, it will drop to 0% with about a day, just sitting there.

I should add that GoalZero sent me a new charger last year, when it wasn’t taking any charge. That solved the charging issue. Could a bad charger have messed it up ?
