    Hi @Whitewaterqb15,

    We typically suggest leaving the Yeti connected to insure it does not completely lose power if you are away from it for extended periods of time. The shelf life of the battery is between 3-6 months, so if you do decide to leave it unplugged, make sure you can check in on it within that time frame.
