Yeti 3000X

I use a 3000X to power my off grid cabin. When I’m at home should I leave my generator plugged into shore power or unplug it once it’s full?

We recommend keeping the power supply plugged in. The battery will not hold the charge if it is left unplugged. If you keep it plugged in all the time it will stay topped off and you will have full capacity for when you visit the cabin. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Our Yeti 3000x acts as a 'pass through' or Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS). It was provided to us by our local energy provider due to emergency medical equipment in use at our home. The Yeti 3000x is constantly connected to an electrical outlet and the medical equipment is connected to the Yeti 3000x. In the event of a power outage the Yeti 3000x will continue to provide power the medical equipment without interruption until the Yeti 3000x runs out of power or runs down to our minimum output setting. We also received a couple of Nomad Solar Panels in the event a power outage is long term.

Once power is restored the Yeti 3000x will immediately begin recharging.
