Yeti 1500X, Tank Expansion, 600W Power Supply

Can I attach my 600W Power Supply to my 1500X and AT THE SAME TIME attach the 8mm Power Supply to the Link for charging my Tank and additional AGMs? I know that the 600W cripples the 1500X 8mm ports. However, I assume the 8mm Port on the Link is still powered.
I don't have this equipment; only doing research prior to purchase.
