Broken Charge Wire in Boulder 100 Briefcase

The charge wire that connects from the charging box on the back of my Boulder 100 Briefcase broke. I tried splicing it to no avail. I was wondering if there is a way to reconnect the cable to the charging box on the back of the solar panels in order to charge my battery. Goal Zero tells me that the panels are made in China and the boxes cannot be purchased here in the US. Any suggestions other than trashing the panels?

    The cables on our panels cannot be swapped out. They are wired into the junction box that is not user replaceable. We do not offer repairs on our panels. Please send us an email with your proof of purchase and details on how the cable broke. We will see if there are any warranty options available.
