Input solar power into Yeti 6000x via car link?

Hi,

I have a yeti 6000x with the Yeti car link. Do I need a separate mppt controller to input power from 2 x 100w Boulder solar panels into the 8mm input on the Yeti Car Link? Or is energy input into that port managed by the internal mppt controller in the Yeti 6000x? I understand that by inputting solar energy into the Car Link port both the Yeti and the vehicle battery are charged. Thanks for any insight, direction and/or corrections!

Hi @Timz,

The Yeti link also acts as a charge controller for you vehicle battery. You do not need an additional charge controller in between the link and the vehicle battery.
