Charging watch with Sherpa15, times out after a minute

I'm preparing for a backpacking trip and want to charge my Epson J-307 watch with my Sherpa15 that I bought at REI. The only trouble is, after one minute the charging stops. Is there a way I can force the sherpa15 to do low amp charging for longer?

What port are you charging with?

I tried it with the USB C port and got the same result? Any suggestions?
