(solved) 1500x doesn't charge after firmware update

(solved I guess?) I just got a 1500x and when getting familiar with it, realized the firmware wanted an update.
Update went fine, all functions still work fine, when I plug in the wall charger now it no longer charges. Both blue lights come on, green light is on on the charger power brick, no charge, no blinking battery segments...
Tried the reset and no change. Plugged in the USB C PD and no charge input registered.
Tried the reset for the old firmware version and it started to charge.
Did the reset for the new firmware again and it is now charging.
