600 watt power supply settles in at 50w charging YetiX 1500
I bought the YetiX 1500 and the 600w charger at the same time. Have tried many times to charge the 1500 with it, and when it first starts charging, it shows the rate at nearly 600w. But it only holds that rate for about one minute. Then for no apparent reason, the charging rate sits back down to about 50w.
I can turn off or unplug the charger, restart the charging, and it gets back up to 600w, but only for that same minute again, then it’s back to 50w.
ive confirmed the firmware of the 1500 is current. Any other ideas? Otherwise I’m gonna return the charger to REI.

Hi @ChrisH,
What firmware version is your Yeti 1500X at? Does the battery! symbol come on when this happens?

Firmware version 1.8.6 ; the app says it is up to date.
i do not see the battery light.

Thank you for the reset suggestions. I’ve tried all three different ways of resets and unfortuanetky still the same result: plugging the 600W charger into the high power port indicates around 550W for 30-60 seconds, then the input wattage drops rapidly to stick at about 50W. Every time.

What is your current charge status? If you are nearly fully charged, that sounds about right to me. BTW, I'm just a user. I don't have any relationship with GZ. I'd suggest plugging stuff into your Yeti 1500x (like your refrigerator), dropping the battery charge to below 50% and then plugging in your 600W charger. My guess is that it will charge up as expected... near 600W for a while and then progressively drop the power as it gets closer to full.
You should also check your charge profile in the GZ app. Maybe stick it on performance for the test.
If your problem persists even when charging from near empty, if you can return it to REI, I would. I'd just exchange it for another.
