Boulder BC panels to Yeti 1500x
When attaching my two Boulder 100 briefcase panels and one Boulder 200 briefcase panel to my Yeti 1500 power station. The information screen will initially show that I am receiving 330 - 350 watts of input power and then will quickly reduce down to 150 - 160 watts of input. The panels are all connected individually as there are enough input ports to receive these 3 panels. I am reading about “chaining” the panels but do not understand if this is actually necessary.

Hi @Gebby74,
The reason behind this is because the Yeti 1500X prioritizes the HPP port over the 8mm ports. This isn't immediate and so the unit initially starts with all input showing, and then reduces the input power to just the Boulder 200. We do suggest chaining the panels with the combiner cables. This will allow you to use the three panels together at the same time. Please see the link below for the combiner cable.

Ok. Got it!! This should greatly improve my capacity and charging times!! Thank you.
I use my 1500 in a small off grid cabin to power lights, a shop vac, small fan, full size miter saw, charge power tools, speaker, cell phone and camera batteries
