I have a Goal Zero GZ98079 Regulated Car Charger For Lithium Yeti that i am using on a GZ Yeti 1400. It works fine on a 5 amp setting (circa 67w) but when i change to 10amps it drops to only 19w charge ( it actually seems to flick between 110w and 19w and doesn’t seem to stabilise and I don’t like leaving it like that) ? I am using it via a BYGD AC to DC Converter, 100V ~ 240V to 12V 10A 120W, Car Cigarette Lighter Socket AC/DC Power Supply Adapter Transformer so i can charge overnight.

Any other reason why i cannot get the 10amp setting to work at a steady rate?

Is the red LED showing on the car charger?

It may be due to the AC-DC converter you are using not being able to sustain the output current without the voltage dipping. I'd suggest measuring the voltage it is producing in 5A and 10A mode, the converter may be dipping too much at its rated power output.
