Charging 1500x from a 52.8V foldable solar panel

I have a 200w foldable panel with a working voltage of 52.8V. The input limit on my 1500x is 50V. Would I cause damage by attempting to charge my 1500x with a 52.8V panel or does the 1500x automatically limit the incoming voltage?

    Hi @PJMjunior,

The 1500X limits the incoming Amperage but not the Voltage. Exceeding the voltage maximum could potentially result in damaging the charge controller. We do not suggest using any panel that is rated above 50V on the Yeti 1500X.
