Can a LiFePo battery be replaced with AGM
Bit odd question to drop from a Li to an AGM however I use my Yeti as an emergency backup power on hospital equipment and so it is plugged in 24/7 so battery safety not weight is the concern
I have for 5yrs used a 400 AGM Version like this, but worry about a Li-in being always charging and outputting.
As all systems now seem to be Li I'm wondering can an AGM be used instead.
OR
Are the Li batteries safe now?

Hi @PaonB,
You cannot change the LiFePO4 batteries with AGM batteries. The power stations that use LiFePO4 batteries have charge controllers that read voltage according to the battery type. Putting an AGM battery in the system will cause the AGM battery to have a much shorter life and will probably make the power station itself not work as intended. We strongly suggest against this.
Just so you are aware, our LiFePO4 batteries do have direct pass through technology. This means that the power station will use grid power while the grid is on and will change to battery power if the grid is shut off.

No, i did not know about the pass through.
I don't think that feature was on the 400.
thanks
