Powering a Starlink Mini from 6mm 12v Output
I’m looking to get a Starlink Mini (StarM) and would like to understand the option of powering it using the 12v output from a Yeti 500/500x. I understand there will be an option to power the StarM via USB-C, that’s not what I’m asking about right now and the 500x only has 60w output which wouldn’t be enough. I see there being two issues:
-Will the 12v output from the Yeti 500x support the StarM?
The Yeti 500x has an output of 12V, up to 10A (120W max). The StarM manual states it has the following requirements: Input Rating 12-48v 60w, and USBC PD Requirement of 100W, 20V/5A Minimum (with Starlink USB-C to Barrel Jack Cable Accessory). Am I correct in understanding that the 12v output would support the StarM input rating because it is 12v and over 60w?
-How to connect the Yeti 500x directly to the StarM directly?
The barrel connector on the Power Stations is advertised as female 6mm and the male ends of the cable that comes with the StarM is advertised as having 5.5mm outer diameter and 2.5mm internal diameter. I’m assuming this means there will need to be an adapter from male 5.5mm to 6mm (or a custom cable with a male 6mm on one end and a 5.5mm on the other) in order to use the 6mm 12v outlet of the GZ Power Stations to power the new StarM?
Is what I stated correct? If so, does any one have an idea of where one of those can be found or ordered custom?
Thanks in advance for any support on this!

@Itsuo ,
Thank you for reaching out to us. While the Yeti 12V does seem to be within the specifications of the Starlink's power requirements, we do not have a way to guarantee compatability. Additionally, if you are going to try and find or make an adapter to fit with the Yeti, you will want to use the 12V cigarrette plug and not the 6mm as the 6mm is actually a 6mm and not a 5.5mm that has it's name rounded up. We do not sell these cable ends as they were designed specifically for some of our Yeti Ready Products such as the Light-a-Life, Skylight, and Alta Fridges.

Thank you! I hadn’t thought about an adapter from 5.5→6mm.
Thank you for the response. I suspect these Starlinks may get more popular and if it’s not a hard adapter to have made it might be an easy to advertise direct compatibility with GZ power stations without tying up the 12v Cig or USB-C ports. Just an idea!
