Firmware update 1.5.8
Installed the update today and now have my 30amp AC charging restored but trying to bring my Escape Kit display back to life. It powered up fine but its not providing any info or functionality. Any ideas?
Release notes from 2024-05-24 say improvements were made to the charging behavior of the HVDC input port:
- prevent over-current in potential ground loop scenarios
- improved low-current latching behavior for lower voltage input sources

Have you tried a full power cycle since doing the update? (this includes removing all power sources from the yeti, including AC power, solar, and tanks, then power off with the power button next to the screen, and leave for 1 minute, then restart. )

Yes, I know the drill well… Since I've given up on the 'cloud connect' system for updating firmware, I have to pull the unit out and move it into home wifi range. So powering down, disconnecting and rebooting is all part of the fun ;-)
FYI, I've done nothing to fix this issue yet the remote / Escape Kit is working again. I have to laugh thru these early growing pains… the GZ tech team tells me this is all normal for new products. I'm a retired tech guy so fully expect these kinds of quirks. Others may not have the patience.

I'd argue it isn't normal... I'd check your wire off of the battery and to the display. It could be bad

You may be right. I've never owned one of these all-in-one devices so "normal" is not a word I would associate with the Yeti 4000. At this point, I'm chalking up the oddities to my unfamiliarity with the unit.

Firmware 1.7.6 is out as of Aug 21, 2024.
Looks like it is addresses a massive amount of "Improvements/Enhancements". Before I jump on it, does anyone have any experience with this new update?
Thank you!
