Can you charge with a Generator and solar panels at the same time?
Hello, everyone!
I'm taking my Yeti 1400 to Burning Man with a 4500 W generator for my AC and a Boulder 200 Briefcase.
I will only have the generator on during the hottest part of the day to power my AC but I would love to quick charge the Yeti while I'm using my AC.
Will it damage the Yeti 1400 if I keep my solar panel and the 4500 Watt generator charging at the same time?
thank you.

Hi @bigmike246
Yes you are able to use solar and the power supply at the same time on the Yeti 1400. There will not be any damage done to the charge controller in the Yeti.

Hi there, I am doing the same thing with a wall outlet and a solar panel. Yeti 1500x and a Boulders 200 suitcase. I also occasionally plug into a wall outlet if the solar is not enough to keep up with the output. In this case, with both 120V and 20V input plugged in, it will not charge from the 120V wall charger. I must unplug the 20V solar for the wall outlet to kick in. Can you not charge from both at the same time?

Please see the discussion below. The X series charge controller is different from the charge controller in the older Lithium models. With the X series, if there is power going into the HPP port the 8mm ports will not be recognized. If you are looking for the fastest way to charge from AC power please see the 600 watt power supply.
