AC power adaptor for Sherpa 100ac
Hi folks,
I'm looking for a compatible AC adaptor to charge a Sherpa 100ac and found this one on Amazon but it looks like the output I am reading might be too high. When I plug it into an AC outlet it is outputting 29 volts and the sherpa unit says "max 22 volts". I want to make sure I am not going to damage the unit by using this. I have attached an image of the charger in question.
Thanks
Dave

Hi @astrodoc,
If the adaptor is outputting 29V, then we would suggest against using it on the Sherpa 100AC. As you mentioned, the Sherpa will accept a max of 22V and exceeding this can damage the charge controller in the 8mm port. We suggest talking to the manufacturer of the product to verify if they have tested this with the Sherpa 100AC. Alternatively, you can use the Sherpa and Yeti power supply to charge the Sherpa without having to worry about the voltage it is outputting at. Please see link to it below.

Hi @astrodoc
Might want to check out the discussion below. From what I gather you do not want to go over the voltage the unit can handle. Are you sure the read out is 29 volts and not 29 watts? Maybe post a picture in thread of the read out on the Sherpa?
Not sure if I have seen UpBright before. Is there a way to contact them to see if they have tested this out on a Sherpa?!

Thanks. When I test the output from the UpBright adaptor with a voltmeter when it's plugged into an outlet I get 29 volts. So I am assuming that is what the Sherpa will get when that adaptor is plugged into it. My concern is that the adaptor output of 29 volts (not watts) is beyond the acceptable voltage range for the sherpa
